ArttuRajantie In Scotland able students take 5 Highers in S5 (lower sixth), and of 8956 presentations last year, 26% were females. Highers are the standard qualifications for entering a (4-year) BSc course in Scotland. This seems to be a UK-wide problem and independent of number of subjects.
