I learned today about sanakartat - literally 'word maps', that describe in prose an area, and provide an alternative to maps for accessibility purposes (see nkl.fi/fi/opasteet-kohokyltit-ja-kohokartat#header--sanakartat for information in Finnish about them). Is this a thing in the English-speaking world?
