Found bog blaeberry/juolukka/vaccinium uliginosum growing in montane scrub at 940 metres between Bynack More and A'Còinneach on Saturday. Delicious!
In addition to the berry shape, the bright red autumn foliage was a clear sign it was juolukka.
Also, there are ✨so many✨ lingonberries this year in the Cairngorms (no pictures, I was too busy eating them). Why isn't lingonberry jam a thing in Scotland?
