If you're looking for a science communication textbook that doesn't start at the altar to the h-index, look no further than samillingworth and Grant Allen's book: iopscience.iop.org/book/978-0-7503-2520-2 I'm still, slowly, reading it, but I'm halfway through and I think it's great. 💯
