      drkatedevlin It doesn't seem to! But... MacBain's etymological dictionary (multidict.net/multidict/?sid=3586006&go=Search&word=bothar&sl=gd&tl=en&dict=MacBain_WA) and Dwelly (multidict.net/multidict/?sid=3586006&word=bothar&sl=gd&tl=en&dict=Dwelly) do suggest bòthar is in use in Scots Gaelic too - I was just never taught it as a learner.
