NikoSarcevic The problem is not posters, but poster sessions. They are treated like some consolation prize. The posters are too close together, the time is too short, there are arcane timings on putting them up and taking them down, and if there's food on offer it's usually mediocre.

NikoSarcevic Posters themselves are great – no technical gremlins, or running out of time like in a rushed conference talk; lots of scope to be creative with space on the poster; the discussions you have can be more interactive; plus something nice for your office wall when you get back.
