      Pretty much all that is left now is Luma Tower en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luma_Tower, that art deco building you pass on the M8 heading into town. Sole remnant of a joint venture with the Swedish co-operative union to break the Phoebus cartel that sought to fix lightbulb prices and longevity.
