olexandr This reminded me a bit of journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.69.3382 (unfortunately pre-arxiv): for certain generators, the high-order bits of the pseudorandomly generated numbers could remain zero within subsequences. This resulted in subtly biased Wolff cluster updates.
